Beach Work For Fair Filou
“The Prest" Special Service MATAMATA, Sept. 25.
Fair Filou has been taken to a beach near Tauranga for a fortnight by his ownertrainer, Mr L. Dell, in an effort to improve a touch of soreness in his hind-quarters. Fair Filou looked close to his best when he suffered an infected forefoot before the fins! day at Avondale. After recovering from this he became slightly sore behind. He is top-weight for the Mitehelson Cup but it will surprise if he can overcome these petbacks in time to run a mile and a half at Ellerslie. He has been entered for Trentham. It is bad luck for his owner, as Fair Filou’s general condition is hard to fault.
