Ashburton Club A profit of £2207 9s 7d was made by the Ashburton Trotting Club last year, said the annual report presented at the club’s annual meeting on Monday. Stakes paid were £19.845 against £19,775 for the previous year. The biggest item of income was £41,852 10s 9d from totalisator receipts A motion, moved by Mr V. W Russell, that the immediate past president of the club be eligible to sit on the committee without election for two years after ceasing to bold the office of president was passed. Mr A J. Nieoll was re-elec-ted president. Other officers elected were: Vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. Cocks and N. Robilliard: treasurer. Mr A A. McDonald; auditor. Mr R. M Chilton: committee. Messrs A. M.
