POLICE FORCE TRANSFERS

New Chief Detective In Christehureh Senior-Sergeant C G. Evans, of Invercargill, has been transferred to the Christchurch Criminal Investigation Branch as chief detective. He is expected to take up the position in about • fortnight. Detective B. Wilkinson, of Wellington, has been promoted to detective seniorsergeant and transferred to Christchurch. He is expected to take up the position neset week. Sergeant K. J. O’Driscoll, of Christchurch, has been transferred to Greymouth to replace Sergeant F. W. Flanagan, who has been transtarred to Temuka.
