Too Dependent On Wool
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, August 28. Australia was too dependent on wool as an Income earner and would have to develop export markets for manufactured goods to redress the balance. Sir William Gunn, chairman of the International Wool Secretariat and the Australian Wool Bureau, said today at the opening of a three-day seminar in Sydney on the development of export markets.
He said Australia had no alternative but to get out and sell Australian manufactured goods, if the wool income was seriously reduced.
