The first four placings in the brass band division of the world music contest at Kerkrade, were: National Band of New Zealand, 537 points, 1; Fanfare Kunst Na Arbeid, Purmerend, Holland, 415, 2; Konink-Lijke Utrechtse P.TT. Fanfare, 383, 3; Fanfare Ny Libben, Oudum Friesland, 379, 4.

The first four placings in the contest were: Israel Gdana Youth Orchestra, 538 points, 1; National Band of New Zealand, 537, 2; Harmon ie Central Instructivo of Lina, Spain, 522, 3: Banda Primitive, Liria, Spain, 507, 4.
