PRINCESS MARGARET
Reports Of New Baby
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON. Aug. 22. The “Daily Mirror” today reported that Princess Margaret is expecting her second baby. The newspaper said that no official announcement was made last night about the baby but an official announcement confirming this would probably be made soon.
The newspaper quoted her press officer, Major John Griffin, as saying: “I can neither confirm or deny any rumours. I just don’t know.” Reuter said that no-one was available at Clarence House for comment and a spokesman at Buckingham Palace said he could "neither confirm nor deny it.” Other newspapers also reported that Princess Margaret was expecting another baby. Princess Margaret celebrated her thirty-second birthday yesterday with her husband, Lord Snowdon quietly on holiday in Eire.
