SUNDERLAND FLIGHT
Postponement By Gusts (NJ!. Press Association) BLENHEIM. Aug. 21. Turbulence, low cloud and a nor’-wester gusting up to 40 knots caused a postponement of a familiarisation flight by a Sunderland flyingboat to Queen Charlotte Sound today. The flying-boat which will carry the Governor-General (Lord Cobham) ' and the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) to the opening of the Outward Bound school at Anakiwa on September 1. was to have made a trial’ flight this afternoon when officers from the R.N.Z.A.F. station at Woodbourne were to mark out a landing area and discuss general arrangements with the crew of the aircraft.
The flight will now be made on Thursday morning.
