OLD BRIDGE COLLAPSES.—Four men plunged 20ft, with tons of timber and steel breaking up about them, when this 55ft span of the old railway bridge they were dismantling at Ngaruawahia collapsed. Two of the men were admitted to hospital. A heavy mobile crane collapsed with the span.
