ARREST MADE
Assault Last Saturday
A man was arrested in Christchurch last evening for the assault of Clifford Wihliam Barndoo, a workman, aged 51. who was found insensible with serious head injuries in a boarding house at 58 Manchester street about 7 p.m. last Saturday. The arrested man will appear in the Magistrate's Court. Christchurch, today, charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bod.iy harm to Bamdon and with having caused him injury. About a doaen detect.ves have been involved in the inquiry and because of pressure of work resulting from the investigation Into the assault on Miss Nell Woolley, who died of her injuries, officers were brought in from other centres.
The arrest was made at 7.15 p.m. by DetectiveSergeants A. W. R. Ball and E. G. Ward.
