DEATH OF WOMAN

Clergyman’s Wife

(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, August 14.

The wife of a Methodist minister was the woman killed at Opapa, 14 miles south of Hastings, yesterday afternoon, when a truck carrying pile-driving equipment overturned on the car in which she was a passenger. She was:

Margaret Annie Mabon, aged 32, of 811 Pakowhai road, Hastings.

Her husband, John Craig Ferrie Mabon. and infant son. Craig Randall Mabon, suffered only minor injuries and were admitted to the Hastings Hospital. \ Their names were not released by the police yesterday. Mr Mabon was driving his small car towards Hastings and the collision occurred as he was passing the truck. The truck swerved up a bank and then overturned on top of the car.
