GUILTY OF INCEST
Father Of 12 Convicted (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 14. A 46-year-old father of 12 children pleaded guilty to two charges of incest when he appeared before Mr W. S. Spence, S.M., in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today. The accused’s name was suppressed. The police prosecutor, Sergeant E. C. Welsh, said the accused's daughter was aged 13 at the time of the offences. The prosecutor said a. child was born to the accused's daughter. The girl was now a ward of the State. Mr Spence convicted the accused and remanded him on bail for one week for a probation officer’s report and sentence.
