£75 Given To Heritage
A cheque for £75 was handed to Heritage, Canterbury. by the 20th Battalion and Armoured Regiment Association yesterday. The money was the offerings at church services When the association held its annual reunion on the Queen’s'Birthday week-end, Mr A. I. Cottrell, president of the association, said when be handed the money to Mr C. L. Bacon. Mr Bacon, a past president of Heritage, said there were still 300 children in the care of Heritage. “That is wftat a tot of people don’t seem to realise.** he said.
He said that the number was added to all the time by the deeths of men who had been wounded to the war.
