ARRIVAL OF GENTRY
Engagements At Addington Gentry and Whipdale, from Mangere, and Anak and Beautilima, from Invercargill, have joined the Ashhurst pacer, Lynwood Earl, at Derby Lodge, Addington, to be prepared for sprint racing in Canterbury, Gentry and Whipdale ar* rived yesterday in the care of their trainer, P. Stewart. Both, will be worked tomorrow morning. Gentry will be given experience behind the starting gate. Gentry looks to be as good as ever he was and he will be an interesting candidate for the Lightning Free-for-all at Addington on Saturday Both Gentry and Whipdale will be driven by F. Smith. Anak, a good second to Flaming Way over two miles at Ashburton in June at his most recent start, looks to have done well lately. He will contest the Opening Handicap on Saturday at Addington.
Anak and Beautilima will probably raoe at New Brighton on September 1 and then be taken north to race at Hutt Park on September 8 and 12.
