Sir.—Mr Roberts's reply to my letter reveals his thoughts that my questions were silly, based on ignorance and irresponsible talk, and that they were written by a coward Well! I can assure him that his screeching sally of dogmatic gunfire leaves me unperturbed. particularly when I reflect that if the questions had deserved such dreadfully condemnatory terms, you. in your respect for the standard of the correspondence columns of “The Press." would not have submitted them to him The tenor of his reply unfortunately gives added force to the Education Commission's contention that teachers and the Education Department have much to do to build up good public relations. Courtesy naturally demands that I thank Mr Roberts for the questions he did answer but with what grace? —Yours, etc.. PARENT August 13. 1962.
