Drama Tutor’s Visit
Nora Ratcliff, the English author and drama producer, who is director of the correspondence course in playwriting of the British Drama League in Britain, will conduct a number of schools and give lectures in Canterbury from August 31 until September 7. On the week-end of August 31, September 1 and 2. she will conduct a school in Christchurch with an emphasis on acting and voice production. Arthur Miller’S "The Crucible" will be studied. Numbers for this school are limited to 80, but there are still vacancies. From September 3 to 6, Mrs Ratcliff will conduct a junior drama school in Christchurch. There are vacancies for this course: She will also lecture at Rangiora on September 4 and at Ashburton on September 6. and conduct a drama course for schoolchildren at Ashburton on September 7 After attending the finals of the British Drama League competition on September 7 and 8, Mrs Ratcliff will return to England. She has been in New Zealand since April at the invitation of the British Drama League in New Zealand and has conducted schools and lectured throughout the country.
