Tournament In September
The Canterbury Rugby League will hold a specisl jubilee seven-a-side tournament for all grades on Saturday, September 15.
It was decided at a meeting of the league's management committee last evening that clubs can enter more than one team in each grade. Nominations close on September 3. The senior match between Papanui and Christchurch, which was postponed last Saturday. will be played on Sunday as the curtain-raiser to the final of the southern section of the Rothmans £lOOO tournament. Approval was given for K. H Bercene, a senior player, to transfer from Christchurch to Marist.
