MR M. J. ANGLAND (N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, August 13. Mr Michael Joseph Angland, one of South Canterbury’s foremost sportsmen in the 1920’s and an administrator who gave many years of service to sport in this province, died in Christchurch on Sunday. He was 63. Mr Angland, who was the son of a former Mayor of Timaru. Mr W. Angland. represented and captained South Canterbury at Rugby and cricket, and was also a representative selector in both sports. He was secretary of the Timaru Boxing Association for nearly 30 years. MR B. A. WILSON Mr Bracey Andrew Wilson, a well-known charity entertainer. died on Sunday. He was 88. Mr Wilson wae bom in Peru in 1874. At the age of four he went to live at Stonehaven. near Aberdeen. He came to New Zealand in 1914 and became well kn>wn for his efforts to raise money for patriotic purposes during World War I. Last year, in recognition of his ability as a Scottish comedian, the Canterbury Caledonian Society elected Mr Wilson a life member He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
