Solo Crossing Of Pacific

August 13 A 23-year-old Japanese who set out from his homeland three months ago to cross the Pacific alone in a 19ft boat sailed into San Francisco yesterday, apparently none the worse for his voyage Kenichi Horie, a car mechanic, left Nishinomiya on Osaka Bay on May 12. He waa escorted into port in San Francisco by coast guards, his small craft neat and tidy.
