FUND FOR STRIKERS
“Full Report To F.O.L”
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 13. A full report on the handling of the fertiliser workers’ strike funds would be given to the Federation of Labour’s national council meeting on Wednesday week, the F.O.L president (Mr F. P Walsh) said today. He was commenting on criticism of the use of the funds. Mr Walsh said he would be presenting a full report, together with a balance sheet showing all the money received and disbursed.
The money was originally collected by the FOL. to assist North Island fertiliser workers who went on strike for a month in May.
