Run-Proof Stockings

An American firm has been given the first grant to patent a runless, seamless, sheer stocking. Made run-proof by twin-thread construction, the stockings are as sheer-look-ing as conventional seamless nylons, the firm claims. If a thread does get caught, the snag will disappear by snipping the thread off and rubbing the spot. The reinforced top, toe or heel can develop a run, but it is claimed that they will stop at the runguard and not go into the body of the stocking.
