Prison For Burglary

Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. “Where gelignite is associated with a crime it is the mark of the rest criminal and makes the offence very serious,” said Mr Justice McGregor in the Supreme Court at Wellington today. Vaudrey John Bishop, aged 21, a clerk, and Frederick John Williams, aged 25. a storeman, appeared for sentence on two joint charges of burglary of the Hataital post office on April 29 and car conversion. Bishop was sentenced to IS months' imprisonment and Williams to nine months, to be followed by a year’s probation on the burglary charge. Both were convicted and discharged on the conversion charge.
