TIGHT FITTING TEST JERSEYS
“Not So Much To Hold On To” (N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, August 9Because no special .set of test gear has been brought to New Zealand. Australian players in the three Rugby tests with the AU Blacks will wear their tour numbers and not be numbered from one to 15 as is usually the case. The manager of the team (Mr J. A. McLean) said in Gisborne today that the jerseys had been made as far as possible to individual measurement. There w’ould be too much trouble in. assembling a special set of jerseys for the tests. "With these better fitting jersevs we hope opposition sides will not have as much to hold on to.” he said.
