U.K. OPINION ON E.E.C.

Australian Returns From Tour (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND Aug. 7. There is a tremendous ground-swell of opinion against the Common Market in Britain and any government which did not take this into consideration would be annihilated said Mr E. D. Butler, who arrived in Auckland today after touring the British Isles stating the case against the Common Market. Mr Butler, a prominent Victorian grazier, is the national president of the Australian League of Rights, the counterpart of New Zealand’s Constitutional Society. He has been accompanied on his tour by Mr J. J. Killen, M.P., of Brisbane.

Mr Butler attended 50 meetings in five weeks, addressing chambers of commerce and kindred organisations.

Mr Butler was met in Auckland today by Mrs Butler who had travelled from Australia. They will make a speaking tour of New Zealand, then another in Australia.
