Basketball S.L TITLES AT INVERCARGILL
Otago Top Threat To Canterbury Canterbury and Otago, who tied for major honours last year, will again be the main contenders when the South Island basketball championships begin at Invercargill today. P. Edmonds, captain of the Canterbury team, is physically suspect, but all the other members are fully fit. Mrs Edmonds sprained an ankle playing in the South Island indoor basketball championships recently. Tile Canterbury team is:—P. Edmonds (captain). C. Brown (vice-captain), J. Martin. J. Blair, C.
