Dairy Produce Marketing (NZ. Press Assn.—Copyright 1 MELBOURNE. Aug. I Mr Ernest B. Gilbert, a former Australian Government Trade Commissioner in Britain. has been appointed to the Australian Dairy Produce Board’s new* post of Director of Marketing. Mr Gilbert, aged 44, will take up the post shortly. He is at present general manager of the overseas division of Dewey and Almy. Pty., Ltd, in Melbourne, and also a director of the firm’s NewZealand company. Mr Gilbert, an economics graduate of Melbourne University, has travelled widely in Asia, Europe and America. The Dairy Produce Board's chairman, Mr E. G. Roberts, said today that Mr Gilbert’s primary duty would be to develop fully the potential of new overseas market*— especially those in South-East Asia.
