Melbourne Port Left Idle
(N ZJP.A. -Reuter— Copyright) MELBOURNE, August 1 The port of Melbourne was left idle yesterday after two surprise mass walk-offs by 3700 waterside workers About 2400 wharfmen on day shift deserted the 29 ships in port and a further 1300 rostered on the twilight shift stopped work.
