l. Letters sent to the Editor for printing must be written m ink on one side of the paper only, and writers must send in their names and addresses in full, whether they wish these to be published or not
2. Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. 3. Letters must not be of more than 150 words in length Motorist—The Indignant answers would take too much of our space. E. F. Regnault.—The architect <Mr J. K. Collins) says "penthouse” is a common American term now in regular use for such structures in this country. L. E. Manley.—You should visit the Christchurch planetarium: but it would be unwise to confuse astrology with astronomy. Old Boy—Seating accommodation this year will be the same as in the past. Preference will be given to members of the boards of governors, the staffs, and the parents of the players. Inquirer.—White Russians were originally inhabi.ants of Byelorussia, or White Russia. a region in western Russia with a frontier on Poland. After the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. the White Russians were, in general, the forces who opposed the Bolsheviks. When they were 'finally defeated, the White Russians left Russia and dispersed throughout Europe and Asia. The term was used generally to apply to these exiles.
