FARMHAND KILLED

Rolled On By Tractor

(N.Z. Pres* Association)

TIMARU, July 0

A married man with four children was killed when the tractor he was driving rolled on top of him at Claremont, about seven miles from Timaru. today. He was Lionel Colemore, aged 32. a farmhand.

At the time. Colemore was ploughing a slope, using a wheel tractor and three-fur-row plough. Apparently the tractor was turning on almost flat ground for another run when its left wheel slid over the edge of a shallow gully. The tractor rolled about 10 feet into the gully. Colemore was working alone and the accident was not discovered for about two hours when his wife, who became concerned at his failure to arrive home for lunch, went in search.
