DRIP-DRY WOOL SHIRTS
Manufacture In New Zealand
Light drip-dry shirts of pure wool are now being made in New Zealand. The wool is Australian Merino woven and treated in Japan. When the New Zealand Wool Board met in Rotorua, one of the first shirts was presented to the Mayor (Mr A. M. Linton) by Mr J. Acland, chairman of the board. Mr Acland said that there were two significant things about the shirt. It showed how science could ally wool’s traditional qualities with modern easy-care processes and how international trade helped the industry. Mr Acland said that only token numbers of the shirts were at present available, but he hoped supplies of the fabric could be increased.
