Otago Beaten, 18A-9A

Canterbury retained the A S. Paterson Cup when it beat Otago in an indoor bowls match by 18*2 games to 9L on Saturday. Otago was unfortunate to lose three ol its team when they were Injured in a car accident when travelling to Christchurch. The game was not as onesided as the scores might sug?;est, and Indeed some of the ndivldual games were very close with Canterbury winning some by a mere point and drawing others. After the morning's play Canterbury established a slender lead of only two games, but in the afternoon increased the lead to win quite comfortably. In the pairs Canterbury had two wins, a loss and a draw, and in the singles won five of the eight games.
