Joint Venture This Year The street day run each year for blinded returned servicemen by the Canterbury Ccmmerciail Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association will be held this year during the New Zealand Foundation for Blind’s Braille week. and the association will help to sponsor the week’s activities, the president of the association (Mr H. G. Smith) and. the manager of the Canterbury branch of the foundation (Mr G. F. C. Ashdowne) announced this week. Braille week will be observed during July 22 to July 28. The street day, to be held on Friday, July 27, will be directed as a joint venture, as will the house-to-house collection the following day, although the street collectors will be from the association and the house-to-house visitors from the foundation. The association will draw from the joint funds an amount about equal to that which it has received from its street day in other years.
