Fiji Holiday For Skelton
Assured of the jockeys’ premiership for the season, R. J. Skelton is taking time off for a short winter holiday Skelton will spend nearly a fortnight in Fiji next month, leaving on Thursday of next week and returning home on Friday. July 20 He will not be available either for the three days of winter racing at Trentham or South Canterbury’s second day and the Waimate Hunt fixture
Skelton has ridden 87 winners since the start of the season, and has a long lead over his brother, W. D. Skelton.
