Oreka Wins Trial
(NX Press Ass-..— Copyright) BRISBANE, June 26 The former New Zealand stayer. Oreka, consolidated his claims to the Doomben Cup on July 14 by winning the first erf the trials over seven fiiriongs less 93 yards at Doomben today Refulgent led Oreka by two lengths at the home turn, but with both horses ridden out, Oreka got up in the last few strides to defeat Refulgent by a nose. Kamikaze was two lengths away third.
Oreka finished full of running whereas Refulgent was inclined to weaken in the last half-furlong. The time for the distance was Imin ZOfsec.
