Te Mahoe. walked off the field 10 minutes t>efore time in its match against United (Kawerau) on Saturday. Te Mahoe. bottom team in the competition, claimed the decisions of the referee. Mr G. Te Pou. of Onepu. made play impossible Mr J. Livingstone, the Te Mahoe coach-selector. said many of the referee's decisions were amazing ” The signalling of penalties was hard to follow.” The United captain. J. Falwasaer. agreed the refereeing was not or a high standard, but tliought Te Mahoe* walk-off a "poor show.” The score was 14-3 to United when the Te Mahoe captain led his team from the Kawerau field The matter will be discussed at a meeting of the Rangitaiki sub-union's management committee tonight.
