Output Of Building Materials Rises
There were increases In output of nearly all locallyproduced building material* during 1960-61, say* the Government Statistician (Mr J. V. T. Baker). Concrete blocks led with an increase of nearly 24 per cent, over production in the previoui year.
For plywood, wallboard, clay building bricks, and dressed timber, the Increased outputs ranged from 10 to 12 per cent.; for asbestos cement sheeting and cement about 7 per cent.; and for rough sawn timber and paints, 3 per cent
