Films Of Asia For TV

Films of life in Hong Kong, northern India, Indonesia, and Papua may soon be seen on television in Christchurch as a result of a two-month tour of Asia by Mr G. L. Crozier, head of the publicity department of the Presbyterian Church, who returned from his assignment to Christchurch last evening.

With a New Zealand colleague, Mr Crozier took both moving and still documentary films of both city and countrylife in Asia. The films showed the various social, educational, and medical contributions made to the life of the people by the indigenous churches, and the participation of New Zealand people in the work of such churches, said Mr Crozier last evening. The still pictures taken would be used in church publications in New Zealand, and in the making of filmstrips, he said.
