Silver Plough Final In July
The 1962 Silver Plough final will be held on 100 acres of land seven miles from Invercargill, in July, said Mr J. Marshall, secretary of the Southland Champion Ploughing Association, at a public meeting in the Port Building. Demonstrations by champions of the Axemen's Association and by American earthmoving machinery worth £48,000 will be given. Horse and dog trials will also be held and there will be a “Queen of the Furrow” contest.
