MW Inquest At Douglas (N.Z.P.A -Rauter— Cenrtght) DOUGLAS (111® of Man). June 7 Colin Me®b®n. a 28-year-old motor mechanic from New Zealand, died by misadventure, an ioqueat ruled today. Meehan, ot Fox Btree’ Ngaio. Wellington, wai killed in hi® second lap of the Junior TourtM Trophy motorcycle race ye»t®rday. Medical evidence at today’? inquests said both men d;ed of fractured skulls. A race marshal, Leslie Bur. cell, said Meehan came round the first bend at Union Mills at normal racing speed and on a good racing line. "Then he seemed to get into a wobble and fight with his machine. He did not seem to be able to control it and the machine hit a wall, throwing the rider on to the road.” he said. Constable George Lancaster, who was on duty at the spot, said there did not seem to be any reason for Meehan’s wobble. Robert John Weinberg, of Picton.
