June 6 The United States Navy has rushed 14 doctors to Honduras to help check an epidemic of gastro-enteritis. said to have killed 66 children. United Press International reported. The American Embeesy in Honduras reported there were 65 deaths plus an estimated 1000 other cases of the disease in the town of San Pedro Sula, alone. The disease was described as an intestinal inflammation, usually contracted from food or water, and accompanied by vomoting and diarrhoea. A Navy medical authority said the disease mostly affected children who were undernourished.
