Shipment For Australia
The smart two-year-old filly, Bubbles, has been sold by her Edendale breedertrainer, C. C. Scott, to a New South Wales buyer. Bubbles finished a fair fourth in the New Zealand Sapling Stakes at Ashburton last Saturday. Bubbles was placed in two of her other four starts. She was runner-up to Tactile in the New Zealand Kindergarten Stakes at Wyndham in March and at her next start she was third to Tactile and Friendly John in the New Zealand Welcome Stakes at Addington. By Garrison Hanover from a well-performed mare in Rowan Star, Bubbles is a sister to a winner in Snell. Red Lynn has been purchased by the same buyer from his Methven breeder. G. D. Kelly. A three-year-old gelding by Meadow Chief from Lucky Knight, Red Lynn is a brother to Meadow Gem and Meadow Lynn, both of which were sold to Australia after showing form in New Zealand.
A yearling by Hal Tryax from Wei worthy has been sold to New South Wales and a three-year-old filly by Johnny Globe from Lonyta has been sold by Mr and Mrs G. S. McCallum, of Hornby, to South Australia.
A two-year-old gelding by Morano from Beaudoro has been sold to the same purchaser as the Johnny Globe filly. The Morano gelding, a half-brother to Brigadoro, has been sold by Messrs L. Barnard, T. J. Duggan, and A. R. McKenzie, of Christchurch, who bred him. The horses listed above left Christchurch, yesterday. Also booked for Australia was Rockn Roll, a useful winner at the trotting gait. She is being returned to her Melbourne owner, Mrs G. Lancaster.
