TARANAKI GAS
Preference To Be Sought <N Z Press Association 1 NEW PLYMOUTH, June 7. A case for preferential treatment of industries established in Taranaki and us:ng natural gas is being prepared by a committee formed bv the Taranaki Local Bodies’ Association. This was made clear in a statement released by the committee after a meeting at Eltham tonight. The statement also said that the committee would present its case to the Government as soon as it had completed its investigations. The committee is examining the possible uses and development of natural gas in Taranaki.
The committee plans to seek the advice of experts.
