Appeal By Brethren

May 23. ; Three companies controlled I by the exclusive order of Brethren yesterday lodged ; notice of an appeal against an order by Commonwealth Conciliation and Arbitration Commissioner. Mr G A. Findlay. On May 8, Mr Findlay refused an application by the companies to vary the Clothing Trades Award of 1960.

The companies had applied to the commission to prevent union officials from entering their premises.

Mr Findlay said that, if the application were granted, it would restrict the freedom, will, and conscience of every employee.
