He could not find a vacant seat so stood in a vestibule during his trip to Feilding. Forward spoke to a Maori youth about the language he was using and was attacked by him. Horsefall came out and joined in the fight, kicking him w'hile he was lying semiconscious on the floor. Horsefall denied striking Forward and said he was try. ing to restrain the Maori youth.
