AUSTRALIAN VISITOR
Relatives On West Coast
One member of this year’s Australian Anzac delegation, Mr W. F. Robbins, a retired farmer, of Boolarra, Victoria, is pleased that he has been chosen to visit the West Coast for Anzac Day services. He 'hopes to meet relatives there whom he has not seen in 70 years. Mr Robbins's step-brother. Mr C. D. Lucas, came to New Zealand in 1892, and settled on the West Coast, ultimately becoming secretary of the Harihari butter factory. The last word Mr Robbins had heard from him was a letter written to Mr Robbins’s sister in 1927. In 1960. Mr Robbins wrote in an attempt to trace his step-brother’s relatives, and received a letter from his son, Mr P. Lucas, of Harihari. Mr Robbins hopes to be able to travel to Harihari during his visit to the Coast and meet Mr Lucas. Mr Robbins is a Worid War I veteran. He served in France with the 46th Australian Infantry Battalion.
