Red Cross At Tai Tapu
Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Tai Tapu sub-centre of the Red Cross Society were:—President. Mrs R. Minson; vicepresidents, Mesdames D Whyte and J. MacMillan; secretary. Mrs H. Heinzmann The sub-centre sent three layettes to Hong Kong during the year; helped with the annual market day and street appeal, and helped a local family which suffered fire loss.
A bring and buy was held to raise local funds, and the Junior Red Cross entertained. Donations amounting to £2B 15s were sent to headquarters.
