Martin, rider of Aquamaris in the Crookston Stakes. 1 was thrown half a furlong after the horse had passed The winning post, and he collided heavily with a poet on the running rail. He was found to- have fractured a rib, and to be suffering from severe shock. He was admitted to the Lawrence Hospital.
