Mr J. K. Hickman, who has been First Secretary at the British High Commissioners office in Wellington since July, 1959. will leave New Zealand on April 17 to take up an appointment in the Commonwealth Relations Office in London.—(P.A.)
The Rev. Spencer W. Vincent was inducted as vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Lyttelton. last evening, by Archdeacon W. M. Davies. Mir Vincent was vicar of Southbridge for seven years before going to Lyttelton.
Mr G. G. Turbott has been elected chairman and Professor H. J. Hopkins deputychairman of the board of governors of the Christchurch Boys’ High School.
Mr A. H. Foate has been appointed senior obstetrician, St. Helens Hospital. Christchurch, in succession to Dr. H. T Jennings who is now the hospital's medical superintendent. Mr Foate was previously junior obstetrician.
