Knight Spoiled Play
Miss Ngaio Marsh last evening recalled the comment by Sir Tyrone Guthrie, “dean of British directors.” when she told him of the Shakespeare play she was about to produce. “ Twelfth Night?’ he said. ‘I wish you luck. I’ve ruined it—twice.' A producer who can say that is not in danger of hell fire,” said Miss Marsh to her audience at the University of Canterbury Macmillan Brown lecture.
