Macmillan’s Itinerary In U.S. And Canada

IVtails were announced in London tonight of the forthcoming visit to the United States and Canada by the Prime Minister (Mr Macmillan
During the visit, he will have talks with President Kennedy and Canada's Prime Minister, Mr Diefenbaker. Mr Macmillan will leave London for New York by air
on April 25 with the secretary to the British Cabinet (Sir Norman Brook), his public relations adviser, Mr Harold Evans, and his private secretary, Mr Philip de Zulueta. While in New York he will visit the United Nations Secretariat, meet the acting Secretary-General (U Thant) and address a banquet of the American Newspaper PubUshers’ Association.
Mr Macmillan will fly to Washington on April 27 and that evening be the guest of President Kennedy at the annual dinner of the White House Correspondents’ Association. He will confer with President Kennedy the next day.
Mr Macmillan will fly to Ottawa on April 29 for talks with Mr Diefenbaker and other Canadian Ministers on April 30 and May 1. On the rfternoon of May 1 he will fly to Toronto tu be principal speaker at the annual dinner ■of the Canadian Press., On May 2. Kir Macmillan will attend, a lunch given in his honour by Ontario leaders. He will return to London from Toronto on May 3.
