Cricket SUBURBAN GAMES

Shield Won By Burnside

Burnside, which entered the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association’s competition only four years ago, has won the association’s Melhuish Shield.

The shield is awarded to the club that gains most points in any two grades. Burnside nominated its Junior A and B grade teams.

Merivale, which won the senior B grade competition, will automatically be promoted to senior A next season.
